Randy's 1967 Dodge R/T Coronet
It was built at the Chrysler California plant October of 1966. It was a holdover car that wasn't shipped for sale until 1967. It was sold in Arizona and was there until the late 90's where it went to Nevada for restoration work. From there it was bought from a guy in Indiana earlier this decade and then was bought by a guy from Dayton, OH who sold it to Randy in July 2007. The car is virtually all original. It has been hit once or twice and has had some original sheet metal replaced. The restoration is finished except for paint. All of the interior and body trim has been restored. The engine compartment was done to almost OEM specs last year. All parts are dated to coincide with build date. This is the original R/T that Dodge designed. Only about 10,000 were built and this body style was only used as an R/T for 1967. They started to build these as an R/T during the middle of 67 model year to complete with Plymouth GTX. Dodge was really getting aggressive about competing in the muscle car category at the time. It is an extremely rare Mopar and not the easiest to restore. Randy spent months researching this car to be done correct. It will get painted back to the original color eventually and will be completely finished.
